My name is Becca Barganier, and I was born and raised in Birmingham, Ala., where I attended Vestavia Hills schools until I graduated in 2008.
From a very young age, I found myself drawn to anything and everything having to do with performing and entertainment. Starting with classical ballet when I was 2 years old, I developed a love for the stage as well as a passion for music. In middle school, I became involved in Birmingham's primary musical theatre group, Red Mountain Theatre Company. It was during my time in this organization that I realized I would one day work in the entertainment industry. This ambition- along with my love for music and making music- has led me to pursue a career in the music industry, and I couldn't be more thrilled about potentially working in this arena.
During my time at Auburn, I have had many opportunities to grow intellectually as well as socially. In addition to my social sorority, I have also been involved in Auburn Panhellenic, Campus Crusade for Christ, Lambda Pi Eta and the Auburn Heritage Association.
I chose to pursue a career in public relations primarily because I am passionate in whatever I do. I have a love for writing and working in a team setting to advocate whatever organization I am a part of.
This spring, I will be interning at a local Auburn boutique called Wrapsody, where I will manage all social media and advertising campaigns. I look forward to gaining valuable experience that will help me better learn the many aspects of public relations in a real-world setting.
I am extremely open-minded when it comes to job prospects and can see myself working in many different scenarios. I am absolutely thrilled to see what the future holds and look forward to continuing my career pursuit!
